Johannes Hallanger aka Incipient

At the age of four Johannes began to play around on the piano.
When his parents saw how much he loved it, they bought him a small casio keyboard for Christmas.
From that day Johannes started his great interest for electronic music.

Eventually, Johannes began with piano lessons with his mother who is a music teacher.
But the only thing Johannes wanted to do was to play his own improvised melodies, instead of playing the notes.

After some years of playing the keyboard in his bedroom, Johannes wanted to start recording his melodies.
Then he taped a microphone on the left speaker of the keyboard, and recorded with the freeware called Audacity.
After nearly a year of recording and mixing in Audacity Johannes felt that he needed some better music tools,
so he invested in Propellerhead Reason.
As the years went by Johannes developed skills in programming and digital music production.
As a sequencer he used Reason and Cubase, but have now switched to Logic, also combined with Reason.

His knowledge of music production stems primarily from his own experience.
But Johannes developed this further by completing a year of study in music production after high school.
After that year, Johannes decided to devote himself to music production,
and then began a bacherlorstudy in music production, where he is today.

His great ambition is make a living of what he loves to do – produce music.
You might, in the near future, see Incipient presenting his music live.
