This amazing collab with Phonk & House and James King first started
when our label manager Van Dresen went to Germany in May 2010 and
saw James King from USA performing a concert, he immediately got fascinated
by the way James King played he’s guitar and his way of singing.
And asked him to come over to Norway and record a track in the studio with Phonk & House.

Phonk & House then started to produce a melody,
sent a quick draft of it to James King who started to write lyrics and compose guitar right away.

The result is an amazing track that surely will put a smile on your face and get the groove on.
What makes ‘High On Life‘ to a very special, unique and loveable track is that it has some Blues,
Pop, Soul, Rock, Gospel and House/Dance + Jamaica rhythms in it.

You can clearly hear the soulful and passionate voice of James King in this song.
And his amazing guitar playing.

‘High On Life’ has a catchy dance beat and some very fresh sounds to it.
